In 2007, the government started to sell these "Disaster Relief" travel trailers, and many were bought for unheard-of prices.

These trailers come in two different classifications: FEMA spec, or Dealer spec.

"FEMA Spec" trailers were designed and built for emergency housing by RV manufacturers. They DO NOT have any holding tanks for fresh water and sewer. Most of these trailers have residential style refrigerators and toilets.

"Dealer Spec" Trailers were designed and built for RV dealerships across the US. These trailers have holding tanks and are like any other used travel trailer you might find on the market today. They were purchased from dealers by the government to use for emergency housing.
