Eight “Must-Haves” New RV Owners Often Forget

Tire Pressure Gauge & Torque Wrench

1. Tire Pressure Gauge & Torque Wrench

Wheel and tire maintenance is one of the most overlooked yet critical elements of RV ownership. Always torque wheel nuts to the wheel manufacturer’s specifications. Over or under-torqued wheel nuts can cause the wheel to separate from the wheel mounting surface during operation, causing property damage, personal injury, or loss of life. Checking beforehand can avoid headaches or damage later. Your Keystone RV owner’s manual recommends you check your tire pressure and wheel lug nut torque before each trip. The owner’s manual will provide you with torque recommendations for your camper. Read more

Kathy and Neal review the Denver Mattress

Neal: Hi, I’m Neal with RV Glamping Adventures with my son, Connor. In this box is a mattress from the Denver Mattress RV collection. It is a king-size mattress with 9 inches of memory foam and a 2-inch quilted top. This mattress will somehow fit inside the RV. We plan on taking this mattress with us on our trip to Disney World.

Kathy: We have had a chance to try out the Denver Mattress.

Neal: I thing this mattress is really great. It is one of the best we’ve ever had.
It amazes me that when you buy a new RV the mattress is very thin.

Kathy: It’s like sleeping on cardboard.

Neal: This mattress is very thick.

Kathy: When we go RVing we glamp. So I’m trying to have all the conveniences of home right here in the RV.

Neal: This mattress is like what we would have at home.

Kathy: I think this is better than our home mattress. If I come into the back when Neal drives, I usually bounce all over the place and get kind of sea sick. That didn’t happen with this Denver Mattress.

Neal: This is one of those memory foam mattresses. So if Kathy or I move around the other person can’t feel it, there is no shock wave or bounce.

Kathy: We are trying to find conveniences and comfort, comfort, comfort. That’s what we found with the Denver Mattress.

Neal: When people buy a used RV they are sleeping on someone else’s mattress.
Kathy: That grosses me out.

Neal: I don’t know why someone wouldn’t want to upgrade to a new mattress. So if you are going to get a new mattress get a Denver Mattress because it is fantastic.

Kathy: So how are we going to rate the Denver Mattress?

Kathy and Neal: We give the Denver Mattress two thumbs up.
