If your idea of camping goes beyond paved campgrounds and crowded RV parks, the 2027 Entegra Esteem XL Lone Peak Edition Super C Diesel motorhome is a great option. This special edition brings together a long list of upgrades designed for travelers who want to take their motorhome farther and explore places that are a little more remote.
The Lone Peak Edition is exclusive to Colton RV & Marine, meaning this is not simply another version of the Esteem XL that you will find sitting on dealership lots everywhere. Colton partnered to bring together a unique combination of exterior upgrades, suspension components, custom paint, off road tires and wheels, and additional features that give this coach a completely different presence.
At around 30 feet, this floorplan also offers something important for travelers who want to explore beyond major RV destinations: a size that can still work in many state and national park campgrounds while giving you the capability to venture farther from the pavement.
An Esteem XL With a Serious Off Road Upgrade
The Lone Peak Edition starts with a number of upgrades underneath and around the coach.
One of the biggest additions is a 2-inch BDS suspension lift paired with Koni performance shocks. The suspension package is complemented by Toyo Open Country all-terrain tires mounted on Torque HD wheels. Add in the heavy duty front stabilizer bar and upgraded front bumper, and the Lone Peak Edition has a much more aggressive setup than a standard motorhome.
The exterior look matches the equipment underneath.
The blacked-out Torque HD wheels and Toyo tires immediately give the coach an off road appearance, while the custom full-body paint adds another layer that is unique to this floorplan. The paint itself is also exclusive, making it one of the easiest ways to distinguish the coach from a standard Esteem XL.
Trail Shield Protection From Front to Back
Another major feature is Trail Shield textured protection.
The Trail Shield material is applied to the exterior in areas where the coach can encounter road debris, rocks, and other hazards. The material is comparable to a sprayed-on bedliner, giving the exterior a textured surface designed to help protect against rock chips and impacts.
The Trail Shield treatment extends well beyond the storage doors. It continues up toward the front of the coach and onto the cab area, giving additional protection across some of the areas most exposed to debris while traveling.
The storage compartments also feature Trail Shield textured doors with slam latches. The slam-latch design makes opening and closing the baggage compartments straightforward, while the textured exterior ties into the rest of the exterior package.
Plenty of Exterior Storage
One of the first things you notice when walking around this Super C is the amount of exterior storage.
There are multiple baggage compartments throughout the coach, including compartments toward the rear that can be used for cooking supplies, tools, gear, and other equipment you may want to bring along.
The storage compartments are made from plastic, which gives you an easy way to deal with muddy or dirty gear. If you bring something back covered in dirt, you can hose the compartments out when you’re finished. Several of the compartments are also illuminated, making it easier to see what you have packed inside.
There’s also a propane quick connect fitting. This gives you a way to connect a grill, smoker, or other propane accessory without needing to carry a separate propane tank for it.
An Outdoor Entertainment Area
The exterior features continue with a large outdoor TV, speakers, and an exterior power outlet.
The TV is positioned behind a weather-resistant door, keeping it protected when it is not being used. The nearby outlet can also be used for exterior lights or other equipment.
And then there’s a large power awning that extends across much of the coach. The awning is also lit, creating a dedicated outdoor area for relaxing, eating, watching television, or spending time outside when the weather cooperates.
For a coach designed to spend time away from the typical campground setting, having an outdoor area like this adds another dimension to your camping trips.
Built on an F-600 Power Stroke Chassis
Underneath the Lone Peak Edition is a Ford F-600 Super Duty chassis with a Power Stroke diesel engine. That gives the coach a substantial foundation for towing and traveling, while the upgraded suspension, shocks, tires, wheels, and stabilizer bar further separate this edition from a standard motorhome.
At the front, the upgraded steel bumper incorporates light pods and fog lights. There is also a block heater, which can be useful for cold weather travel by helping the diesel engine warm up more quickly.
The front of the coach also uses Entegra’s seamless front cap and seamless side construction. The front cap is caged in aluminum, adding another layer to the construction of the coach. A fiberglass roof is another notable exterior feature. Rather than the rubber roof found on many coaches in this price range, the Lone Peak Edition uses fiberglass.
Eight Belted Seating Positions
Inside, this floorplan continues to separate itself from many coaches in this size and price range. The dinette includes seatbelts in every seating position. There are also seatbelts in the theater seating, giving the coach a total of eight belted positions.
For families traveling with children or grandchildren, the dinette also includes two child safety tethers, allowing two car seats to be secured.
The cab-over bunk provides another sleeping area and is rated for up to 750 pounds. A privacy curtain can separate the bunk from the living area, while a removable net can be used when the space is being used for storage instead of sleeping.
The dinette also converts into an additional sleeping area, allowing the coach to accommodate additional overnight guests.
A Kitchen Designed for Travel
The kitchen includes a solid surface countertop, metal sink, residential-style sprayer, three-burner cooktop, and oven. There is also a large Contour microwave with a grill rack.
That gives you several options when preparing meals. Whether you’re heating something quickly, using the cooktop, putting the oven to work, or bringing along an air fryer or coffee maker, there are multiple ways to set up the kitchen for your trip.
Storage is another major theme throughout the kitchen. There are overhead cabinets, lower storage areas, pantry space, and pull-out drawers. The cabinetry is real wood, adding to the substantial feel of the interior.
The coach also features a large Furrion 12-volt refrigerator with a large freezer.
Technology and Controls at Your Fingertips
A centralized touchpad controls many of the coach’s systems. From the panel, you can control lighting, electrical functions, climate control, tank levels, and slideouts.
The system also provides network diagnostics, which can help identify potential issues. In some cases, the system may point you toward something relatively simple such as a fuse, rather than leaving you guessing about where to begin.
The coach is also pre-wired for satellite equipment around the entertainment areas.
A Bedroom With Plenty of Storage
The bedroom continues the Lone Peak Edition’s focus on storage. There are numerous drawers, overhead cabinets, outlets on both sides of the bed, reading lights, and nightstands.
Behind the bed is a large closet with hanging space and additional drawers. For a coach in the 30-foot range, the amount of storage built into the bedroom is impressive.
The bedroom windows can also open, allowing air to move through the space.
A Full Bathroom With a Tankless Water Heater
The bathroom includes a large medicine cabinet, oval sink, large shower, and porcelain toilet. One feature that stands out is the placement of the tankless water heater controls. They are located inside the bathroom near the shower, allowing you to adjust the water temperature right where you need it.
The tankless system also eliminates the need for a traditional storage tank and is designed to make winterization easier.
Outside, the coach includes the corresponding water connections, low-point drains, black tank flush, outdoor shower, and fresh water controls. The water compartment allows you to choose how you want to use the water system, including filling the fresh water tank or connecting to city water.
A Motorhome Built Around Exploration
If you’re looking for a motorhome that gives you the opportunity to venture beyond the traditional campground while still offering the features and amenities you’d expect inside a modern Class C, the Lone Peak Edition is worth seeing in person.
It brings together an upgraded chassis setup, off road equipment, distinctive exterior protection, custom paint, and a well-equipped interior in one package.
