Is now a good time to buy an RV?

Imagine this, it’s 2023 on the butt end of winter/beginning of spring and for a long time you’ve been craving adventure. You’re recently retired or you’ve got some vaction time or you just want to go camping to escape the mundane. Regardless, you want to get out there. You want to buy a camper. To get on the road and experience the world in a home away from home. With your family, your friends and loved ones. You want to create memories by the campfire to have stories to tell for generations or experience some of those once in a life time moments but one thing is holding you back. Just one thing, uncertainty. Uncertainity on whether or not now is the right time to act on those dreams. Does that does that sound like you?

Don’t worry a lot people feel the same way. The uncertainty on the timing of such a commitment can be anxiety enducing. You hear about winter time deals and sales but to capitalize on those you’d have to miss out on another camping season and another chance to have those moments you dream of. But if not then when? Easy, Now. Much like the colder seasons the warmer seasons provide amazing opportunities for campers like you to make those dreams tangible. What do I mean? I’ll explain…

THERE’S MORE DIVERSITY

In January 2020 COVID started to spread, and by March of that year the we found Ourselves in a full-scale national emergency. Those infected were being spotted among passengers on cruise ships and airplanes, causing the travel and hotel industries to abruptly come to a halt let aloe everyday life. Being under lockdown for months on end was the straw that broke the camels back as people were desperate to lave teir homes and the remedy to this became crystal clear, RV camping. this revulation caused a major spike in the camping world and so the camping world had to respond. Dealers began manurfacting to meet the demand for RVs. That ramp up in productivity is something we’re still feeling now, with manufacturers pumping out new floor plans and models consistently (especially this time of year).

What does that mean for you? Well…more options. With the demand for campers going down as the world returns to normacy there’s an abundance of campers being made for you to choose from. On top of the wide array there’s also the fact that older models are being sold at a discounted price just to make space for the newer ones. The main goal here is to try and push out all the extra campers to restablize during these post pandemic times so the 22’s and below need to make way for the on coming 23’s. This will always be a trend when it comes to campers and motorhomes however it will never be to this extent so capitalize while you have the chance.

THERE’S AN ABUNDANCE OF SPACE

In 2020 and in 2021 you had a problem, no worries so did everyone who tried to go camping at the time. There just wasn’t enough space. I’ve read countless articles, blog posts and forum posts about the horror stories of a sporadic camping trip turning into a countless day ordeal, searching for a campground that wasn’t full. And thankfully, those who voiced their complaints were heard because according to RV Business, more than 11,000 camping sites across the U.S. are opening for RV’s within the next year or so. These aren’t just isolated to any singular state either, no no from New York to California this is a country wide expansion. Some examples in NY include: Drem Lake Campground, Trout Run camp resort and Jellystone Park. For more information in regards to revamped or new campgrounds in your state feel free to visit RVbusinesses website here.

IT’S CAMPING SEASON

Probably the biggest benefit to buying now. The weathers warmer and the days are longer, what’s not to love? The air is fresh, the flowers are blooming beautifully and on top of all that no need to worry about misquitos or other bugs (at least not yet) that’ll ruin your camping experience! Rather than buying a camper in the fall or winter and having to find storage or worry about winterizing and dewinterizing or have anxiety from the atticipation of wanting to go camping you can just get out there! With a lot of the financing deals and discounted inventory as stated before spring brings opportunity directly to you. No need to wait months on end waiting rather, you can get out there with your family and friends or even alone and make those moments you dreamed of a reality.

HEY BEFORE YOU GO, REMEMBER THIS…

while spring time is a phenomanal time to buy a camper the truth is that it all depends on you. Your personal situation, your budget, your needs, all this should be considered when finding a time to buy. Do your research, talk to previous buyers, talk to the dealership’s salesteam, search on online forums, ask questions! So that way you can gaurentee that you’re making an informed decision and an informed decision is a good decision. So as previously stated yes, spring is a wonderful time to buy however only do so when you are sure that you are ready for certain.
